Sammi and Lil Bit are two special dogs. Both of their ‘parents’ succumbed to cancer. The ‘father’ had hired two dog walkers to give them some exercise. The dog’s owner had asked the two to find a new home for them. One day the two were visiting the veterinarian that one of our rescue group members also uses. She overheard them talking about this dog breed called a ‘Keeshond’ and introduced herself to them. So Sammi and Lil Bit came into our rescue group. The dying wish of the owner was that they are kept together as they were sisters.
Both of them had gained a considerable amount of weight and their hair was so matted that they had to be completely shaved. We fostered them and worked on getting them down to an acceptable weight as you can see from some of the pictures.
After much searching they now at there forever home.
